DIAMOX technology uses Boron-Doped Diamond (BDD) filters that can break down almost all dissolved organic pollutants in industrial wastewater, and completely mineralise organic carbon to carbon dioxide.

Types of Effluent Effectively Treated
Even toxic and recalcitrant substances can be destroyed and the resulting water can be safely disposed of using normal water disposal system – no storage or further treatment is necessary. Advanced Oxidation has years of experience of successfully implementing DIAMOX technology for waste water treatment applications, including:
- Effluents containing recalcitrant compounds (described as ‘hard COD’)
- Ammonical-N, amines, nitro compounds and proteins
- Hydrocarbons, haloalkanes & alkenes, solvents, alcohols, chlorinated phenols and PCBs
- Humic substances, typically high molecular weight (HMW) compounds
- Dyes, pigments and colourants and other coloured effluents from dye manufacturers, dye houses and print works
- Malodorous compounds such as amines, sulphurous mercaptans, sulphides and nitro compounds
- Toxic compounds such as pesticides including chlorinated hydrocarbons, organo-phosphates, and carbamates
- Polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs)
- Benzene, Toluene, Ethyl benzene and Xylene (BTEX compounds)
- Semi-volatile and volatile organic compounds (SVOCs and VOCs)
- EU ‘Priority List’ Compounds and UK ‘Red List’
- APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) and solvents
- Endocrine and other biological disruptors
- Microbial and bacterial cultures (biologically active agents)
