Colour Removal From Dyestuff Effluent

Advoxi Diamox cells have been used to remove colour and ammonia from discharge to produce water meets all local water authority consent limits for safe disposal.

Diamox rapidly destroys dyes of various types including acid, dispersed and reactive dyes and colour can be effectively removed from dyehouse effluent.

The aggressive oxidation environment created by a DIAMOX system is ideally suited to the removal of colour from dyehouse effluent. Oxidation of the chromophore will produce dyestuff intermediates that are colourless. The DIAMOX system does not distinguish between dyestuff types and chemical classes that limit the use of conventional treatment technologies. Partial oxidation of textile effluents naturally increases biodegradability.
